About

IMG-20160416-WA0000My name is Kate, I’m a loving (sometimes) wife and mum to six gorgeous children.

Mikey and Harri are twins, then came Charlie, Libby, George and baby Arthur.

If trying to catch up with the  The Brady Bunch wasn’t enough, We also have six dogs (must be something about the number!), cows, sheep, chickens, pigs and various other animals on our farm.

My children are well mannered, funny, sweet and kind.
They are equally ferile, crazy and full of attitude.

On a good day I sit down at the end of the day with a glass of wine and contemplate how proud I am of my gorgeous family.

On a bad day I fall down, with a bottle of gin and wonder why my kids hate me so much.

I have been with Mike since we were 17, we had the twins when we were 24 and got married at 26.

I was an estate agent before I had my babies which I absolutely loved. A few years ago I went back to college and fulfilled my dream of becoming a qualified beautician.

I now spend my days playing taxi on school runs and to various kids activities aswell as help Mike run our businesses.
Inbetween my mummy, wife and work duties, I drink coffee with my friends (alot), love eating out, pampering and general

    Hi Kate,

I hope you’re well. I just wanted to get in touch regarding a small challenge that we would love you to take part in with your children this summer! We were really interested in your lovely blog and thought this challenge would be a great fit for it….

    The mission!

Highland Spring is on a mission to highlight the benefits of healthy hydration for kids especially during the school holidays and when back-to-school season arrives helping boost their attention and achieve more every day. Why? Because when you’re 100% hydrated, you’re much more likely to be on top of your game – mentally, physically and emotionally.

With back-to-school season fast approaching, it’s the perfect time to encourage your kids to give every day their all! Our #BravebyNature project is all about that natural drive in children to let nothing get in their way and for us parents to help our kids stay naturally hydrated enough to wield it. That’s why Highland Spring is one of your most important #TermTimeEssentials right now.

Ok, sounds great! What do I need to do?

We would love you to share your personal story about how you keep your kids hydrated along with how your child is #BravebyNature and the benefits of hydration and love to see a video or pictures about how they are brave by nature and how you incorporate Highland Spring into your child’s day.

After all, staying well hydrated can boost attention by almost 25%. Its even nicer when you know the plain natural source water you’re giving drawn from organic land in Scotland’s beautiful Ochil Hills!

Do let me know if you’re up for the challenge and if so we’ll arrange your #TermTimeEssentials hydration delivery?

    Thank you,
    Bella

    Fast Facts
Kids need more water in relation to their body size than bigger people
Kids don’t always recognize when they’re thirsty, so it’s best to encourage good drinking habits early
Sipping throughout the day is the best way to ensure hydration needs are met
Popping a bottle of Highland Spring into their lunchbox helps them to remember to sip at school
Studies have shown that kids who drink a litre of water over the course of a school day have better short-term memory and generally perform better than those who don’t
Don’t forget to share via your social channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, G+) using the #BravebyNature or #TermTimeEssentials hashtag.

You sound like a fab Mum and your kids do sound so very well mannered. I also like how you give advice on what works for you but it comes across so polite and helpful as I’ve seen so many people who are rude about it. I’ll be keeping an eye on your blog! X Have a fab week
